What are the different types of domains secured?
This refers to the number of domains or subdomains that will be secured:
Single subdomain refers to the prefix in front of the domain e.g. www.mydomain.co.za. Should you only require this OR only the plain domain name to be secured e.g. mydomain.co.za then the Basic option is for you.
Multiple subdomains refers to all subdomains under your domain e.g. mydomain.co.za, www.mydomain.co.za, mail.mydomain.co.za, etc. to be secured then you will need a Wildcard certificate.
Multi domain certificate refers to securing multiple domains and their subdomains.

What is a validation level?
Domain Validation validates that your domain has been registered and that someone with admin rights in your business is aware of and approves the certificate request.
Extended Validation validates domain ownership and organization information, plus legal existence of the organization and that the organization is aware of and approves the request.
Organization Validation validates domain ownership, plus organization information included in the certificate (name, city, state, country).

What is the green bar?
Only a EV (Extended Validation) SSL certificate changes the address bar in an internet browser to green. This creates a visible sign of trust for site visitors.
